How should the repeated command sound?
Mutual love becomes both the substance of the new command and the public marker by which everyone will recognize Jesus’ disciples.
Why this default
“Love one another” is default because it preserves the repeated wording naturally each time the command appears. “Keep loving” makes the present-form’s ongoing practice explicit, while “love each other” is plain modern English with slightly less formal reciprocity.
