Why this default
‘That they may have my joy made full in themselves’ is default because it retains the disciples as the clause’s participants, Jesus’ joy as the object, and the perfect participle’s completed fullness. ‘Filled with my joy’ is natural but reverses the grammatical image from joy made full to people being filled.
