How forcefully does Jesus accept the cup?
The Greek question with ou mē expects a firm affirmative: he certainly will drink what the Father has given.
Why this default
The rhetorical question is default because it preserves Jesus’ own question form while the ou mē construction signals the forceful expected answer: he will drink it. Turning the line into ‘I will certainly drink’ communicates the force accurately but removes the dramatic form.
