What is Jesus asking the arresting party?
Zēteō can mean seek, look for, or search for. The same question frames the self-identification twice.
Why this default
‘Whom are you seeking?’ is default because it preserves the personal interrogative and repeats zēteō exactly each time Jesus frames his self-identification. ‘Who are you looking for?’ is natural dialogue, while ‘Whom do you want?’ narrows seeking to immediate desire.
