What has not yet arrived for Jesus?
The motif develops across the Gospel: the hour is initially said not to have arrived, then arrives with Jesus’ glorification, departure, and prayer.
Why this default
“My hour” is default because hōra becomes a recurring Johannine image for Jesus’ appointed climactic moment. “Time” is smoother English, while “appointed moment” explains the narrative function rather than preserving John’s repeated word.
