How undressed was Peter?
Peter puts on the outer garment he had removed for work before throwing himself into the sea toward Jesus.
Why this default
‘Stripped for work’ is the working default because gymnos can describe someone stripped of an outer garment, fitting Peter’s act of putting that garment back on before entering the water. Complete nakedness remains lexically possible; the purpose ‘for work’ is contextual explanation rather than a certainty.
