How exact is the unknown time?
Jesus denies human and angelic knowledge of the day or hour while assigning knowledge to the Father.
Why this default
‘Concerning that day or the hour’ is default because it preserves both paired time units and the progression from date to precise moment. ‘Date or exact time’ explains the idiom but replaces Mark’s eschatological day-language with modern scheduling vocabulary.
