Why this default
‘Being poured out on behalf of many’ is default because hyper marks beneficent representation and polloi retains Mark’s ‘many’ without turning it into a mathematical limit. ‘For many’ is natural but less explicit about relation; ‘for the benefit of many’ interprets the preposition fully.
