What does the messenger announce?
The passive ‘he was raised’ leaves God as the implied agent; the perfect result follows: he is not here.
Why this default
‘He was raised; he is not here’ is default because egerthe is passive and leaves the raising agent unstated while the following present clause gives the continuing result. ‘Has risen’ is traditional but shifts voice; ‘God raised him’ supplies the implied agent explicitly.
