The participle literally identifies those who are strong or capable. ‘Healthy’ supplies the medical implication.
Why this default
‘Those who are strong’ is default because it preserves the substantival participle’s lexical force before the physician metaphor interprets it medically. ‘Healthy’ and ‘well’ make the contextual meaning immediate but erase Mark’s stronger wording.
