What movement might those outside make?
Epistrephō means turn around or return. In prophetic language it can carry conversion without requiring a technical religious term.
Why this default
‘Turn back’ is default because epistrephō retains physical reversal while also carrying the prophetic force of returning. ‘Be converted’ imports a technical theological register and changes the active movement into a passive religious category.
