What motive corrupts public righteousness?

Why this default
‘In order to be seen by them’ is default because pros to with the passive infinitive explicitly names public observation as the action’s purpose. ‘So that they will notice you’ exposes the motive in conversational English, while ‘put on a display’ adds a theatrical judgment beyond the grammar itself.
