Why this default
‘Ask ... seek ... knock’ is default because the three coordinated present imperatives are forceful without importing an English auxiliary. ‘Keep asking’ and ‘continue to ask’ responsibly expose ongoing aspect, but they make explicit what the Greek verb forms communicate more compactly.
