This is an honest reference claim, not a retroactive claim that all completed work began from one uniform printed edition. Material manuscript forks remain independently documented at the reading they affect.

The witnesses divide between singular ‘served him’ and plural ‘served them.’ The singular focuses on Jesus; the plural fits the household scene.
Why this default
The singular ‘served him’ is default because it has strong early support and keeps Jesus as the focus. The plural ‘served them’ is also ancient and naturally reflects the full household group.
