Does Babylon also become a prison for every unclean beast?
NA28 includes a prison for every unclean and hated beast after the spirit and bird clauses. Westcott-Hort, Tregelles, NIV, and the Byzantine text omit the beast clause.
Why this default
The expanded reading is retained because NA28 judges the beast clause part of the text, and its added third prison image forms a coherent escalation after spirits and birds despite substantial omission support.
